AAIB’s First Corporate Governance Guidelines Published

AAIB published its Corporate Governance Guidelines which have been drafted to provide a formal overview of the principles, internal rules, and regulatory laws and guidelines, which govern our business management practices.  Corporate governance embodies concepts and practices which were always integral in our business dealings.  It describes our structure as an organization, and the roles, authorities, and responsibilities / accountabilities of the individuals entrusted with safeguarding our Bank and shaping its future. It also explains the control framework that is established to manage various risks.

Furthermore, corporate governance extends to address the interests and relations of AAIB’s stakeholders (mainly shareholders, staff and management, and clients within this context) with the aim of sustaining a successful and mutually rewarding relation.

Corporate governance is a dynamic process, which means that we will continuously revisit these guidelines and adjust them in a way that safeguards our business and integrity, and aims to carry on a business prospect that promises mutual benefit for all of us, as stakeholders.
